How to Delete Your Data
Last updated: May 23, 2026
What data TrueTo collects
The TrueTo Android app has no user accounts and does not collect your name, email, contacts, location, or browsing activity. It collects a single piece of data:
- Firebase Installation ID — an anonymous identifier, automatically generated for each installation of the app, that the app sends to Google Firebase so it can download up-to-date automation configuration. It is not linked to your identity or to any account.
For full background, see our Privacy Policy.
How to delete your data
Choose whichever option suits you. Uninstalling the app is the most complete and immediate.
Option 1 — Uninstall the TrueTo app (recommended)
- Press and hold the TrueTo app icon on your device.
- Tap Uninstall (or drag the icon to Uninstall), then confirm.
Uninstalling permanently removes the Firebase Installation ID and all locally stored app data from your device.
Option 2 — Clear the app's storage (keep the app installed)
- Open Settings on your Android device.
- Go to Apps → TrueTo.
- Tap Storage (or Storage & cache).
- Tap Clear storage (or Clear data) and confirm.
Clearing storage discards the current Firebase Installation ID and all cached configuration. The app will generate a new, unrelated identifier the next time you open it.
Option 3 — Contact us
If you have a question about your data or want to make a written deletion request, email privacy@trueto.app. Please note: because the installation identifier is anonymous and is not linked to any account or contact details, we cannot look up or identify the identifier belonging to a specific person. Uninstalling the app or clearing its storage, as described above, is the reliable way to delete it.
What is deleted and what is kept
Deleted when you uninstall the app or clear its storage:
- The Firebase Installation ID stored on your device
- All automation configuration cached on your device
Kept: Nothing on TrueTo systems. TrueTo operates no server of its own and stores no personal data. The installation identifier is processed on Google's infrastructure as part of Firebase; see the Firebase Data Processing and Security Terms for Google's handling and retention.
Retention: The Firebase Installation ID exists only while the app is installed on your device. TrueTo applies no additional retention period of its own, because it stores no data on its own infrastructure.
Subscriptions
If you subscribed to Extra Settings, that subscription is recorded by Google Play, not by TrueTo. Uninstalling the app does not cancel a subscription. To cancel or manage it, open the Google Play Store → your profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions. Payment and billing data is held by Google Play under Google's privacy policy; TrueTo never receives it.
