Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using TrueTo ("the app", "TrueTo", "we", "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the app.

2. Description of Service

TrueTo is an Android application that navigates into other apps to check and modify their settings such as read receipts, autoplay, ad personalization, location, and notifications, based on user-selected actions. Every setting is individually reversible at any time.

The app uses Android's Accessibility Service to navigate into apps, locate the correct controls, and check or change settings on your behalf.

3. Accessibility Service Terms

TrueTo requires the Android Accessibility Service permission to function. By enabling this permission, you acknowledge that:

• The service is limited to the apps listed in TrueTo's supported app list
• The service only activates when you explicitly tap an action (such as "Check" or "Fix")
• The service reads UI elements solely to locate and verify the correct settings toggle
• The service does NOT access passwords, messages, emails, or personal content
• You can revoke this permission at any time in Android Settings

4. Device Compatibility

TrueTo is designed for devices running Android 10 (API level 29) or higher. We cannot guarantee compatibility with:

• Older Android versions
• Heavily customized Android skins (some manufacturers modify accessibility behavior)
• Custom ROMs or rooted devices
• Devices with restricted accessibility features

Some phone manufacturers (such as Xiaomi, Huawei, Oppo) have aggressive battery optimization that may disable accessibility services. This is outside our control.

5. Third-Party Applications

TrueTo interacts with third-party applications and Android system settings to check and adjust their settings. TrueTo supports 151 apps, including Spotify, YouTube, Instagram, Chrome, WhatsApp, and Android system settings. We are:

• NOT affiliated with any third-party app or its developer
• NOT responsible for changes these apps make to their UI that may affect TrueTo's functionality
• NOT able to guarantee that TrueTo will work after updates to these third-party apps

If third-party app updates break TrueTo's functionality, we will endeavor to release an update, but we provide no guarantees or timelines.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree to use TrueTo only for its intended purpose. You agree NOT to:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the app
• Use the app for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to bypass Android security measures using the app
• Redistribute or sell the app

7. Subscriptions

TrueTo offers an optional paid subscription called Extra Settings. The free tier of TrueTo remains available without payment.

Pricing. Extra Settings is currently available at $3.99 per month or $29.99 per year. The price shown in Google Play at the time of purchase is the source of truth, and prices are subject to change.

Free trial. A 7-day free trial is offered. A payment method is required to start the trial. You are not charged during the trial. At the end of the trial, the subscription auto-renews and the first payment is charged unless you cancel before the trial ends.

Auto-renewal. Subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each billing period (monthly or annually) until canceled. Renewal is processed by Google Play Billing using the payment method on your Google account.

Cancellation. You can cancel your subscription at any time at Google Play Subscriptions. Cancellation is handled by Google Play, not inside the TrueTo app. After canceling, Extra Settings access remains through the end of your current billing period; afterward, your account reverts to the free tier.

Refunds. Refunds are handled under Google Play's refund policy. TrueTo does not process refunds directly.

Price changes. Prices are subject to change. Any change is communicated and applied in accordance with Google Play's policy on subscription price changes. You can review or cancel your subscription in Google Play at any time.

8. Intellectual Property

The TrueTo name, logo, and all associated branding are owned by the developer. You may not use our branding without written permission.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

TrueTo is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to:

• Implied warranties of merchantability
• Fitness for a particular purpose
• Non-infringement
• Accuracy or completeness

We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:

• Loss of profits or data
• Device malfunction
• Changes to third-party app settings
• Any other intangible losses

This limitation applies regardless of whether damages arise from use or inability to use the app, unauthorized access, or any other matter relating to the app.

Cap on total liability. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the developer's total liability for all claims relating to TrueTo is limited to the greater of (a) the total amount you paid for TrueTo in the twelve months before the claim arose, or (b) US$50. If you use only the free tier, you have paid nothing, and clause (b) applies.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the developer from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the app or violation of these terms.

12. Modifications to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Changes will be posted at this URL with a new "Last updated" date. Your continued use of TrueTo after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

13. Termination

You may stop using TrueTo at any time by uninstalling the app. We may discontinue the app at any time without notice.

14. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Subject to Section 15, any dispute not resolved by arbitration shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in New Jersey, and you consent to their jurisdiction.

If you are a consumer resident outside the United States, this section does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory consumer laws of your country of residence, including any right to bring proceedings in your local courts.

15. Dispute Resolution: Arbitration and Class Action Waiver

Please read this section carefully. It affects your legal rights.

Informal resolution first. Before starting arbitration, contact support@trueto.app describing the dispute, and allow 30 days to resolve it informally.

Agreement to arbitrate. If the dispute is not resolved informally, you and the developer agree that it shall be resolved by binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, held in New Jersey or remotely at your election.

Waiver of court and jury trial. By agreeing to arbitration, you and the developer each give up the right to sue in court and the right to have a judge or jury decide the dispute, except for the small-claims and opt-out exceptions below. Arbitration uses different procedures than a court, and review of an arbitrator's decision is limited.

Class action waiver. You and the developer each agree to bring claims only in an individual capacity, and not as a plaintiff or class member in any class, collective, consolidated, or representative action. The arbitrator may not consolidate more than one person's claims.

Small claims exception. Either party may instead bring an individual claim in small-claims court if it qualifies.

Your right to opt out. You may reject this arbitration agreement by emailing support@trueto.app with the subject "Arbitration Opt-Out" within 30 days of first accepting these terms. Opting out does not affect any other part of these terms.

Where this section does not apply. This Section 15 does not apply to you if you are a consumer resident in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, or any other jurisdiction where pre-dispute binding arbitration or class action waivers are unenforceable against consumers. In that case, disputes are resolved by the courts identified in Section 14 or your local courts as your local law requires.

16. Severability

If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or the limitation of certain damages; in those jurisdictions, the exclusions and limitations in Sections 9 and 10 apply only to the extent permitted by law, and nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, gross negligence, or death or personal injury caused by negligence.
