Show or hide your online status in TikTok on Android

Your activity status tells people in TikTok when you’re online and when you were last active.

When it’s on, people see a green dot while you’re online, and the time you were last active. When it’s off, they see neither, and you can’t see their activity status either.

Only your mutual followers, people you follow who follow you back, can see it.

Turn Activity status on or off

You can turn on Activity status so your mutual followers know when you’re online, or turn it off so they don’t.

  1. Go to the TikTok app on your phone.
  2. Tap Profile, then tap the Menu button.
  3. Tap Settings and privacy, then tap Privacy.
  4. Tap Activity status.
  5. Turn Activity status on or off.

Note: Activity status is off until you turn it on, and TikTok offers it only to accounts 18 and over.

Turn Profile views on or off

You can turn on Profile views so people can see that you viewed their profile, or turn it off so they can’t.

  1. Go to the TikTok app on your phone.
  2. Tap Profile, then tap the Menu button.
  3. Tap Settings and privacy, then tap Privacy.
  4. Tap Profile views.
  5. Turn Profile views on or off.

Note: Profile views is off until you turn it on, and TikTok offers it only to accounts 16 and over with fewer than 5,000 followers.

See who viewed your profile with Profile views

You can see who viewed your profile only while your own Profile views is on, and while it’s on, people can see that you viewed theirs.
